Johnny Manziel was working on his football comeback and had a beautiful wife, Bre Tiesi. For the first time in a while, it was good to be Johnny Manziel again. Things started to unravel when Johnny Football was booted from the Canadian Football League, but he was able to immediately bounce back thanks to a lifeline from the Memphis Express of the Alliance of American Football.
Unfortunately, he’s not getting a lifeline with his marriage after his wife decided it was time to part ways.
Just last week, Tiesi commented on Instagram saying “vows were broken” and “I don’t do betrayal for a person I was devoted to period” after scrubbing Manziel from her page.
Manziel had not previously commented on the personal matter, but now he has broken his silence. As you may expect, Manziel is “very sad” that he no longer has his smokeshow wife by his side.
“This is all very, very personal and very sad,” Manziel told TMZ Sports. “I appreciate everyone who has been so supportive of both of us and I would just ask that everyone respect our privacy at this difficult time. My hope is to put my head down and be allowed to focus on work and what is required of me on the football field.”
Manziel will have an opportunity to put his focus back on the field when he and the Express host the Orlando Apollos on Saturday, March 30. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m. ET on TNT.
Tiesi, meanwhile, will return to whatever it is the life of an Instagram model entails.
