Stacia Hollinshead: Full Story & Must-See Details

Stacia Hollinshead, a 30-year-old assistant state’s attorney, has been identified as the woman who was fatally shot and killed in her Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, home on Saturday, March 23.

According to police, Hollinshead’s ex-husband Ulisses W. Medina Espinosa is currently being held at the Dodge County Detention Facility in connection to the murder.

Hollinshead had previously filed a protective order against Espinosa back in 2016.

Additionally, authorities say that Hollinshead’s 5-year-old daughter was at the scene of the shooting when it happened.

Hollinshead was pronounced dead at the scene when police arrived. authorities say they expect to file charges against Espinosa on Tuesday, March 26, according to ABC.

In a statement, DeKalb County State’s Attorney Rick Amato called Hollinshead’s murder “the worst possible outcome of domestic violence.”

“We who work in public safety talk frequently about the risks associated with domestic violence. As prosecutors, we intervene in domestic violence cases in court to prevent the nightmare outcome that we’re all now living through,” Amato posted on Facebook.

Prior to serving as an assistant state attorney, Hollinshead served was a U.S. Army intelligence analyst for 11 years and was a graduate of the Northern Illinois University College of Law.
