Maya Ray Hawke, born on July 8, 1998, in New York City, is an American actress and model who is the daughter of famed actors Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman.
The daughter of Hawke and Thurman, Maya has a brother that was born in 2002 and three half-sisters. Two of the half-sisters are with Ethan Hawke’s second wife Ryan Shawhughes and the third is from Thurman’s ex-fiancé Arpad Busson.
Hawke’s first professional acting appearance came in 2017 when she appeared as Jo March in the television miniseries Little Women.
In 2019, Hawke had the biggest break of her career to date when she was cast as a series regular character named Robin in the third season of Netflix’s sci-fi mega-hit Stranger Things.
Prior to the show’s third season premiere, not much is known about Hawke’s character in Stranger Things other than the fact that her name is Robin and she is a co-worker of Steve Harrington, who is portrayed by Joe Keery.
In addition to the TV miniseries Little Women and the award-winning Netflix series Stranger Things, Hawke has filmed appearances in Ladyworld, Human Capital, and Quentin Tarantino’s 9th feature film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
