Google has announced “Stadia”, a cloud-based streaming gaming service. Stadia, which will launch sometime this year, will support 4K at 60 fps and cross-platform play.
Announced at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco on Tuesday, March 19, Google said that Stadia will allow users to watch a video about a game and be able to play it instantly “in under five seconds without any download and lag.”
Additionally, Google said that Stadia play will be able to be seamlessly transferred between Google devices. During their announcement demonstration, Google execs showed gameplay transitioning from a phone to a tablet to a television.
Stadia will be available to play on televisions, desktops, laptops, tablets, and cell phones.

Processing Power:
Stadia will have 10.7 teraflops of GPU processing power, which is more than twice that of PS4 Pro, which has 4.2 teraflops of GPU processing power.
Controllers:
Google also revealed the Stadia controllers, which come with two unique buttons –one for Google Assistant and one for YouTube Capture.
Doom Eternal:
Doom Eternal was one of the first games announced for Stadia. While the release date of Doom Eternal was not announced, developers did confirm that the game would also be available on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch & PC.
Release Date:
While there is no official release date for Stadia at this time, Google said that the new streaming gaming service will be released sometime this year.
