Kelsey Merritt is a Filipino-American model who walked the runway for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2018. Merritt became the first Filipino woman to ever walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in what was her first-ever runway show.
Along with her work as a Victoria’s Secret model, Merritt was named to the 2019 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue’s rookie class.
“So thankful for the whole team that made the trip so fun and memorable!! Glad I get to be part of a family that celebrates body positivity,” Merritt wrote on social media.
“I really want to be a Sports Illustrated model because I love how confident the models are and I want to show everyone who is looking at these pictures and reading the magazine that they can also be confident in their own skin,” Kelsey said when speaking to SI.com.
The 22-year-old was born on October 1, 1996, in Pampanga, Philippines. Merritt graduated from Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City, Metro Manila with a degree in communications and is currently represented by Wilhelmina models.
