Some new Meek Mill music has leaked online thanks to a video shared on social media by NBA MVP front-runner James Harden. On Monday night, Harden shared a video with a Meek track playing in the background and the lyrics seemed to catch everyone’s attention.
A quick listen to the track leads you to immediately believe Meek is going after his ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj, who is rumored to be engaged to a new man, Kenneth “Zoo” Petty.
With that in mind, is there really no doubt who the lyrics are directed at.
“This sh*t is beyond me. You was supposed to be my Beyonce now you this n****s fiance? What?,” Meek raps on the track. “F**k you mean you feel a connection? He listen to you, what? This n***a wear Balenciaga with boot cut jeans. What the f**k you losing your mind? Ayo, call my fucking phone back yo. Every time you post this n***a I wanna smoke this n***a/We just broke up last year how you know this n***a? You was cheating on me? You was creeping on me?”
Listen to the new Meek track for yourself:
Now, while it seems pretty clear that the track is about Nicki Minaj and her new man, Meek did try to quite that speculation a little bit with two brief tweets.
“Stop the bap I’m like on my 6 girl in the last 2 years let me live,” he wrote on Twitter. “Y’all gotta hear the whole thing first ….. just chill.”
Then drop the full track, Meek. The internet is ready. Until then, we are all going to continue speculating that the lyrics are a direct shot at the ex-girlfriend.
