Rich Eisen made his annual 40-yard dash run at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine on Monday, March 4. After recording a time of under six seconds in two of the last three attempts, the NFL Network host was ready to set a new personal best.
In fact, it wasn’t even close.
Just a year ago, Eisen ran a 5.97 inside of his Brooks Brothers attire. During the 2019 event at Lucas Oil Stadium this season, Eisen saw his time drop ever so slightly with a time of six seconds flat.
You can check out the video below.
And as is always the best part of the entire Combine, we got to see the simulcams from the NFL Network which show Eisen’s time stacked up against some of the fastest players who ran in Indianapolis with various headstarts. The result is always pure hilarity.
Simply brilliant.
To add to the fun this year, Eisen announced that his annual “Run Rich Run” segment has raised more than $1 million for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
And with that, we bid a simple farewell to the 2019 edition of the “Underwear Olympics.”
