At this time, it is not clear whether the school received the threat through phone, email or social media.

A statement on the high school’s automated voicemail message clarifies that the school has bee locked down out of an “abundance of caution.”

Students are not believed to be in danger at this time. San Martino High School has an estimated enrollment of approximately 1,200 students.

The reports of an active shooter threat at San Marino High School is just the latest in a long string of lockdowns, bomb threats, and active shootings that have plagued American schools and public spaces during recent years.
