Andy Anderson, the former drummer of The Cure, has died at the age of 68-years-old.
The Cure was one of the most prominent punk rock bands to come out of England in the 1970s. Anderson was first featured on their 1984 album, The Top.
Former Bandmate Lol Tolhurst, who was the first to announce the news, called the late Anderson a “true gentleman.”
“Andy Anderson was a true gentleman and a great musician with a wicked sense of humor which he kept until the end, a testament to his beautiful spirit on the last journey. We are blessed to have known him,” the statement read.
It's with a heavy heart, I have to report the passing of a Cure brother.
