Arizona basketball coach Sean Miller will have some questions to answer. On Monday, February 25, it was reported by Yahoo Sports that Miller has been subpoenaed in the ongoing FBI investigation into corruption in college basketball.
Miller was subpoenaed along with LSU head coach Will Wade.
The two coaches were implicated for their association with Christian Dawkins, who was found guilty on numerous felony fraud charges. Dawkins was an intermediary for NCAA athletes.

Both coaches have long been known to be on federal wiretaps talking to Christian Dawkins, the former low-level agent runner who was found guilty of multiple felony fraud charges in the first basketball corruption trail in October. The impending subpoenas also increase the likelihood that those tapes would be played at trial, as defense attorneys are likely to want to walk the jury through the realities of recruiting in college basketball’s underworld.
Miller was also caught discussing a $100,000 payment regarding Deandre Ayton’s commitment thanks to an FBI wiretap, according to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach.
Miller has an overall head coaching record of 263-86. He was an assistant at Wisconsin, Miami (OH), Pittsburgh, NC State, and Xavier, before ultimately taking over as head coach for the Musketeers and then the Wildcats. Miller also has three gold medals to his name, one as a player, one as an assistant coach, and the other as a head coach. Miller coached the United States men’s U19 national team from 2015-2017.
