Frederick Douglass High School in Baltimore is on lockdown after a staff member was shot. Only one staff member was reportedly shot, while the remaining staff and all students are reportedly safe, according to law enforcement officials.
The shooting was allegedly carried out by a visitor to the school.
A tweet from the Baltimore School District read: “ALERT: Frederick Douglass High School is on lockdown, following a shooting of a staff member by an adult visitor to the school. STUDENTS AND REMAINING STAFF ARE SAFE, and police are on site. We will update as more information becomes available.”
The injured staffer was a male and the suspect is reportedly in custody, though there is no word on the condition of the shooting victim.
