Regina Hall is no stranger to the acting world, but she’s been thrust back into the spotlight thanks to her appearance in the upcoming new Shaft film. The 48-year-old from Washington, D.C. has previously starred in hits like Love & Basketball, Scary Movie, Malibu’s Most Wanted, Ally McBeal, and many more.
Hall became the first African American to win the New York Film Critics Award for Best Actress.
Hall attended Fordham University in the Bronx and earned her bachelor’s degree in English. After her time at Fordham, she enrolled at New York University to earn her Master’s degree in journalism.
After earning an opportunity through commercials, Hall began earning her opportunities in the television and film industry.
