Sarah Gadon, born on April 4, 1987, in Toronto, is a Canadian actress who is perhaps best known for her appearances in the Hulu miniseries 11.22.63 and the HBO drama series True Detective.
Prior to becoming an actress, Gadon attended the Claude Watson School for the Performing Arts, the Vaughan Road Academy, and the University of Toronto’s Cinema Studies Institute at Innis College.
Gadon’s professional acting career began before she was a teenager, as she was cast in an episode of the show La Femme Nikita when she was just 10-years-old.
After making her debut in La Femme Nikita, Gadon went on to make appearances on television shows such as Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Code Breakers, Flashpoint, Total Drama, Aaron Stone, Happy Town, My Dad the Rock Star, Twice in a Lifetime, Catherine Hartman in Mutant X, Dark Oracle, and Life with Derek.
Gadon also began starring in feature films such as Charlie Bartlett, A Dangerous Method, Enemy, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Dracula Untold, The Girl King, A Royal Night Out, and The 9th Life of Louis Drax.
In 2019, Gadon began starring as Elisa Montgomery on the third season of HBO’s crime drama series True Detective alongside Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali.
