Kanye West’s descent into becoming a living, breathing farce continues, as he is now reportedly being sued by a Japanese fabric supplier who claims that his Yeezy company did not pay a $600,000 bill.

According to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Japan-based fabric company Toki Sen-I Co. claims they made a deal to manufacture fleece fabric for  Yeezy Apparel in June 2018.

Toki Sen-I Co. says that after completing the order and manufacturing the product — which they described as being “unusually large” at $624,000 — they received an email from Yeezy Apparel stating they did not intend on following through with the deal.

The company states that the unused fabric they produced for Yeezy Apparel is a total of 53,500 yards at $10.81 a yard.

Additionally, TMZ reports that despite their best efforts, Toki Sen-I Co. was not able to settle with Yeezy Apparel outside of court.

Furthermore, Toki Sen-I Co. said that while they tried to “mitigate damages by selling the fabric to other buyers”, they were unsuccessful because the product was “so specific to the Yeezy brand no one wanted it.”

TMZ says that Yeezy Apparel did not return their request for comment.

We know that Kanye fancies himself to be an entrepreneur, so we’ll have to ask him where exactly “not paying your business partners” falls in the entrepreneurial manual.
