Anne Hathaway, born on November 12, 1982, in Brooklyn, New York, is an Academy Award-winning actress who is considered to be among the best actresses of her generation.
While Hathaway was born in Brooklyn, she was raised in New Jersey, where she graduated from Millburn High School. In 1999, when Hathaway was still a teenager, she landed her first professional acting role when she was cast in television series Get Real.
When she was just 19-years-old, Hathaway made her feature film debut in the Disney movie The Princess Diaries.
Following her debut in The Princess Diaries, Hathaway went on to appear in films such as The Other Side Of Heaven, Nicholas Nickleby, The Cat Returns, Ella Enchanted, and Havoc, before her dramatic career really took off after she starred in Ang Lee’s award-winning drama Brokeback Mountain in 2005.
