24-year-old Ashley Yarbrough has been identified as the young woman who was stabbed to death on the night of Monday, January 21 in Madison, Tennessee.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, Yarbrough was found “at the bottom” of a stairwell at the Neelys Bend Condominiums located at 1301 Neelys Bend Road in Madison, Tennessee, on Monday, January 21.
Authorities said an acquaintance of Yarbrough’s was involved in an altercation with the victim but denied being the one who stabbed and killed her. The acquaintance is the one who called 911 at 11:50 p.m. Police Lt. Michael Waltz said that Yarabrough was found unconscious and suffering from multiple stab wounds
After police arrived, Yarbrough was transported to Skyline Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead shortly after midnight. K-9 officers were brought to the scene of the stabbing to assist in searching for evidence and a suspect.
Police say that they do not believe that Yarabrough, who was originally from Spring Hill, Tennessee, was stabbed by a stranger. Furthermore, investigators said neither Yarbrough nor the acquaintance lived at the Neelys Bend Condominiums complex.
