Elizabeth Lail, born on March 25, 1992, in Williamson County, Texas, is an American actress who is best known for her performances in the ABC fantasy series Once Upon A Time and the Netflix psychological thriller You.
While Lail was born in Texas, she grew up in Asheboro, North Carolina, before graduating from Asheboro High School in 2009. After graduating from Asheboro High School, Lail attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and graduated in May 2014.
Lail began her acting career while still in college, as she appeared as Anna in the 2011 short film Model Airplane. In 2014, Lail appeared as Emily in the 2014 short film Without and got her big break into the acting industry when she was cast as Anna in season four of ABC’s fantasy drama series Once Upon A Time.
Following her appearance as Anna in 10 episodes of the fourth season of Once Upon A Time, Lail was cast as Amy Hughes, the main role in the Freeform series Dead of Summer. Unfortunately, Dead of Summer was canceled after just one season.
After her run on Freeform’s Dead of Summer, Lail made an appearance as Natalie Luca in an episode of the NBC drama The Blacklist and as Emily Chapin in the NBC drama The Blacklist.
Lail took another step to superstardom in 2018 when she began starring as Guinevere Beck alongside Penn Badgley in the Netflix psychological thriller drama television series You.
