Paige VanZant is gearing up for her return to the Octagon at the same time that the UFC is preparing to make its debut with new broadcasting partner ESPN on Saturday, January 19. The promotion will be making its debut with UFC on ESPN+1, an event headlined by a fight between flyweight champion Henry Cejudo and bantamweight titleholder TJ Dillashaw.
VanZant last fought in January 2018, a fight she dropped to Jessica-Rose Clark which was her second loss in a row.
In that fight, VanZant suffered a broken arm that required surgery. The surgery did not go as planned and she suffered a minor setback, but now “12 Gauge” is ready to return to action.
VanZant is set to take on Rachael Ostovich at the UFC’s debut event on ESPN which takes place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Ahead of her fight, the flyweight contender showed off her physique and let the world know that she’s ready for the latest test.
UFC on ESPN+1 takes place on Saturday, January 19.
