Given that HBO has STILL yet to release a full trailer for the final season of Game Of Thrones, fans are clamoring for information from any source they can get, whether that be interviews with cast members, producers, or television executives.

Now, while most of the interviews amount to generic quotes that provide little detail, the most recent interview with Richard Plepler, the Chief Executive Officer of HBO, offered some insight into the sheer spectacle of the eighth and final season, as he confirmed that he has seen all six of the remaining episodes, which all reportedly clock in at 90 minutes or more.

Speaking to Variety, Plepler said that the final season is like ‘watching six movies’:

“It’s a spectacle. The guys have done six movies. The reaction I had while watching them was, ‘I’m watching a movie,’“ Plepler said to Variety.

“They [showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, Plepler] knew the bar was high. They’ve exceeded the bar. I’ve watched them twice without any CGI and I’m in awe. Everybody’s in for an extraordinary treat of storytelling and of magical, magical production.”

Like we previously mentioned, despite not yet releasing a full trailer, HBO did include a new piece of footage in a 2019 promo of the legendary channel that showed Sansa Stark greeting Daenerys Targaryen at Winterfell for the first time and looking QUITE salty while doing so.

With the premiere of season 8 just months away, more and more details about the final episodes of the biggest show ever are coming to the light.

Speaking to TV Insider, series co-creator D.B. Weiss expanded on the relationship between Daenerys and Jon in the upcoming six episodes, saying that the revelation that Jon has a legitimate claim to the Iron Throne “makes things interesting” from a dramatic standpoint because “the story is no longer about who Jon’s parents are, it’s about what happens when Jon finds out.”

While Game Of Thrones highly-anticipated eighth and final season will premiere in April 2019, the exact release date has yet to be announced at this time.
