The Clemson football program is once again at the top of the college football world. On Monday, January 7, the Tigers steamrolled the Alabama Crimson Tide at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California to earn the third national title in school history; it was also the second in three years for Dabo Swinney’s squad.
Clemson was led by a strong defensive effort that never allowed Tua Tagovailoa and the Crimson Tide offense to get rolling while showcasing their own explosive offense that has been giving opponents nightmares all season.
Star freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence capped off his first-year campaign with 347 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Justyn Ross showcased his speed with six receptions for 153 yards and one touchdown, while sophomore running back Travis Etienne added 86 yards on the ground for 86 yards and two scores en route to a 44-16 win.
Following the game, the Tigers were in for an epic celebration on the field in the locker room, and they did not disappoint.
