Black Mirror: Bandersnatch dropped on Friday, December 28 and it was instantly met with enthusiasm on social media. The standalone project is a choose-your-own-adventure program for viewers that allow them to direct the main character, Stefan, through his journey.
The “film event,” which is not a part of the upcoming season 5, is directed by David Slade, who previously directed the Black Mirror episode “Metalhead.”
Of course, with viewers having a sense of responsibility for what happens, there has already been memes flooding social media. One of the top moments of stress from Black Mirror: Bandersnatch comes right out of the gate when the first choice is Stefan’s cereal: Sugar Puffs or Frosties.
It has people losing their minds.
“The Black Mirror movie is giving me anxiety by making me choose what kind of cereal he eats for breakfast,” one Twitter user wrote. Another added: “The new Black Mirror has already drained me emotionally and the only decision I’ve made so far is choosing a type of cereal.”
