Troy Woody Jr, a 21-year-old American Bitcoin trader with almost 200,000 followers on Instagram, has been arrested for allegedly murdering his girlfriend Tomi Michelle Masters before he left her body in a Philippines river on December 23.
What Happened?
According to reports, Woody Jr was living with his girlfriend, 23-year-old Tomi Michelle Masters and their mutual friend, 22-year-old Mir Islam in Manila, Philippines.
Police reports indicate that in the early hours of December 23, Woody Jr. and Mir strangled Masters after an argument about returning to their home state of Indiana.
The report from The Daily Mail says that Woody Jr, with the help of Island, allegedly suffocated Masters before they wrapped her body in duct tape and stuffed it into a box.

The pair – who boast online about taking cocaine and spending vast sums on luxury goods – ordered a Grab taxi on a phone app then hurled the box into the Pasig River in Manila, Philippines, on December 23 in the early hours of the morning at 2:40 a.m.
Both men returned to the taxi and continued to their destination, a large shopping mall called Robinsons Place.
Cabbie John Kenneth Quimba later reported the suspicious passengers to local police who searched the river and found Tomi’s body covered in scratches.
Both Woody Jr. and Islam were arrested and were being held by the Manila Police District force.
Igmedio Bernaldez, the Manila Police District Head Superintendent, said while Woody Jr. and Islam are blaming each other for the murder, they have both admitted to dumping the body.
Additionally, Superintendent Bernaldez said that the police force has yet to establish a motive for the murder.
