Rosa Salazar, born on July 16, 1985, in Washington D.C., is an American actress who is best known for her roles in American Horror Story, Parenthood, Bird Box, and Alita: Battle Angel.
Salazar first got into the entertainment industry when she was just 15-years-old. She eventually moved to New York City, where she got a job with the comedy website CollegeHumor.
Following her brief stint with CollegeHumor, Salazar moved to Los Angeles in 2009 to pursue her acting career. Following her move out west, Salazar landed roles in the TV series American Horror Story: Murder House and Parenthood.
After landing small roles in the films Jamesy Boy and Search Party, Salazar’s career really took off when she landed a role in the 2015 film The Divergent Series: Insurgent. Also in 2015, Salazar starred in Night Owls and Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials.
Since hitting the big time with The Divergent Series: Insurgent, Salazar has gone on to star in the movies CHiPS, Submerged, Maze Runner: The Death Cure, and The Kindergarten Teacher.
In 2018, Salazar starred as Lucy in the Sandra Bullock-starring Netflix original film Bird Box. In 2019, Salazar will star in the highly-anticipated live-action version of Alita: Battle Angel, which is directed by Robert Rodriguez.
Also in 2019, Salazar will star in the Amazon adult animation comedy-drama television series Undone.
