Tamiko Warner has been identified as the woman that was seen on camera at the Memphis International Airport having an epic meltdown over a $20 baggage fee.
The incident, which happened at Gate C2 of the Memphis International Airport on Wednesday, December 19, sees Warner overturn furniture and set off a fire extinguisher. According to police reports, Warner carried on for nearly five minutes uninterrupted before she was subdued by airport security.
During her tirade, Warner ultimately caused over $2,5000 in damages. Additionally, Warner allegedly caused further damage to nearby computers, phones, and carpets worth up to $10,000.
The report from Memphis airport police said that Warner became “outraged” due to a $20 baggage fee that she was faced with.
In the video, the defiant Warner can be heard saying “I don’t care about going to jail. Whatever. This is worth it.”
Maria Rivera, the woman who recorded the incident and uploaded the video to Facebook, called the incident “terrible” saying that she thinks “people need to check themselves before acting like this in public.”
