Travis Scott is reportedly heading to the Super Bowl. According to reports, the Houston-based rapper is set to join Maroon 5 on stage at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia for the Super Bowl 53 halftime show on Sunday, February 3, 2019.
The news was first reported by TMZ.com.
There is no word on what song Scott would be joining Maroon 5 for, but other rumored appearances include Big Boi, who appears on Mic Drop, and Bronx sensation Cardi B, who drops a verse on the track “Girls Like You.” Whether Maroon 5 and Travis Scott have a collaboration brewing remains to be seen, but you would have to imagine there is something in the works if the group is going to be bringing the rapper on stage.
If the collaboration does happen, however, it should help please some Atlanta fans who are upset with the choice to roll with Maroon 5 instead of some of the city’s classic music acts.
This year has been a busy one for Travis Scott, who released a collaborative album with Migos rapper Quavo titled Huncho Jack, Jach Huncho, and his third album Astroworld which features his No. 1 hit single “Sicko Mode.”
