Angelina Keeley was one of the 20 contestants stranded on Mamanuca Islands in Fiji for season 37 of the long-running CBS reality show Survivor. This season was dubbed David vs. Goliath, with ten “Goliaths” who were described as overachievers who used advantages provided in life while the “Davids” were 10 underdogs who had to overcome numerous obstacles.
The 28-year-old financial consultant from San Clemente, California was a member of the Goliath tribe and earned her way to a spot on the season finale as one of the final six contestants.
Angelina went onto the show hoping to draw inspiration and strength from her husband who is in the United States Marine Corp and made his second deployment this year. She also was hoping for a long run on the show in order to win the grand prize and help pay off student loans.
From her official CBS bio:
I have always been an extremely optimistic and positive person, I always see the best in everything/everyone and make the most out of even the hardest situations. Even though I’m not super outdoorsy, I’m a quick learner and always down to try something new. I’m also scrappy, adaptable, smart, fun, and determined as hell. Most importantly though, my love for people, empathy, and emotional awareness are what I credit for much of what I’ve accomplished in my 28 years of life.
I’m able to get along with anyone, and people tend to trust me. Lastly, I’m not afraid to take risks and play hard. I will use all of these skills, at the right time with the right people, in order to make it all the way to the end.
