Acclaimed actress and director Penny Marshall has passed away at the age of 75-years-old.
Marshall passed away in her Hollywood Hills, California home on Monday, December 17 from complications due to diabetes. In addition to her iconic role of Laverne DeFazio on the ABC sitcom Laverne & Shirley, which aired from 1976 to 1983, Marshall was the director of Big, Awakenings, and A League of Their Own. Marshall is survived by her sister Ronny, her daughter Tracy Reiner, and her grandchildren Spencer, Bella, and Viva.
