Whenever my friends talk about the future of entertainment, I always joke that Netflix is going to eventually be streaming their content directly into our consciousness.
What I mean by that is technology — and Netflix, specifically — are developing at such a rapid pace that it’s only a matter of time before consuming entertainment involves having to download it to your brain. I don’t know whether it’s going to be 10 years or 100 years, but it’s going to happen.
And at the forefront of that entertainment technology revolution is Netflix, who grew from a little DVD shipment company that was on the verge of bankruptcy to a Hollywood behemoth that is competing for Oscars.
Part of what makes Netflix so great is their innovation, as they essentially pioneered the streaming industry. However, just because Netflix may be the best in the game, does not mean they always bat 1000. And according to some users, their latest feature is a dud.
Netflix has recently begun testing an instant-replay-like function that gives viewers the ability to replay a specific scene with more convenience, as it allows users to instantaneously rewatch a scene without having to rewind.
