Andrea Toscano is the reigning Mexicana Universal 2018 titleholder and is set to represent her home country at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant in Bangkok, Thailand. Toscano succeeded Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2017 Denisse Franco for the honor. While competing in Mexicana Universal 2018, Toscano won Best Traditional Costume and Miss Personality.
The 20-year-old is currently studying nutrition and neurolinguistic programming at the University of Colima.

Before entering beauty pageants, she started a nutrition project for inter-state migrant children to give nutritional education and improve their health and quality of life through balanced nutrition. Now, as Miss Universe Mexico, Andrea works to make her project bigger, and is called “Nourish a child, feed Mexico”, that promotes nutritional education through a playful method with a National scope. With the same purpose, she is developing an app to help guide children to carry out a healthy lifestyle. Andrea, wants to be Miss Universe and make a real change in global health and nutrition.
The 2018 Miss Universe National Costume Competition was just aired via live stream December 10, 2018. So far we have seen all the candidates who are going to compete in this year’s pageant showcased a costume that represents their nation in an elaborate display of color and culture from around the world. The official Miss Universe 2018 will air in the United States live Sunday, December 16 from 7 to 10 P.M. ET live/ PT tape-delayed on FOX.
