The News & Observer newspaper in Raleigh, North Carolina, has been evacuated due to a bomb threat.

The bomb threat at The News & Observer on Thursday, December 13, was just one of many bomb threats to happen across the nation that day.

The News & Observer is just one of many news outlets to be the victim of some sort of threat or violence. In September, a man drove a pickup truck into the Dallas Fox 4 building. In June 2018, Jarrod Ramous killed five people when he shot up The Capital newspaper in Maryland.

The News & Observer is an American regional daily newspaper that serves the greater Raleigh, North Carolina and is the second largest newspaper in the state behind The Charlotte Observer. It was originally founded by Rev. William E. Pell as The Sentinel in 1865.

The reports of a bomb threat at The News & Observer building in Raleigh, North Carolina, is just the latest in a string of lockdowns, bomb threats, and active shootings that have plagued the United States.
