On Monday, December 10, 2018, the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA) announced the list of nominations for the 24th annual Critics’ Choice Awards. Each year, the Critics’ Choice Awards are looked at as an accurate predictor of the Academy Awards.
HBO and Netflix lead the way with 20 nominations each, while “The Favourite” leads all film nominations with 14. “Black Panther” is also a standout in the film category with 12 nominations, followed by “First Man” with ten.
In the television categories, “The Americans,” “Escape At Dannemora,” and “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story” lead the way with five nods each.
