Let’s introduce the world to “Target Teresa.” In today’s edition of White People Interrupting Black People For Simply Living, we bring this video from a Target store in Tennessee which shows one customer coming up and interrupting a group of black women who were having a conversation. Target Teresa then proceeds to yell at the women while telling them what they apparently said.
“You were talking about sex in public. Are you having sex in public because that’s what you screamed out loud,” Target Teresa said. “I didn’t realize talking about sex in public was normal. I know you’re trained on lying. You’re perfect for the court system because you’re all trained liars.”
Plot twist: The group of women were simply talking about a role in the 1990s comedy “Boomerang” played by jazz legend Eartha Kitt.
Ms. NASA still wasn’t having it.
“She told us, ‘You shouldn’t be talking about sex,’” one of the women who was harassed told Yahoo Lifestyle. “We were confused — then, she came around the corner with her shopping cart and started ranting, ‘You don’t belong here’ and calling our conversation inappropriate.”
The video first appeared on Facebook before being deleted.

This is just the latest instance of black people being interrupted for simply living their lives, joining the likes of “Cornerstore Caroline,” “Barbecue Becky” and “Permit Patty.”
