Ariana Grande has released the official, Mean Girls-inspired video for her hit single “thank u, next”.
The video takes its inspiration from a handful of early 2000’s modern cult-classics, such Mean Girls — which starred Lindsey Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Tina Fey, and Amanda Seyfried — 13 Going On 30, Bring It Home, and Legally Blonde.
“thank u, next” — the lead single off of Grande’s upcoming studio album Thank U, Next — was first released on November 3 without any prior promotion from Grande.
At this time, there is no word when the full Thank U, Next album — Ariana’s fifth — will be released. The album is a follow-up to her fourth studio album, 2018’s Sweetener.
