The four members of the Caneiro family will be laid to rest on December 2.
What Happened?
On Tuesday, November 20, Keith Caneiro, Jennifer Caneiro, 8-year-old Sophia Caneiro, and 11-year-old Jesse Caneiro were found dead in their home in Colt’s Neck, New Jersey. Police were called to the scene after a nearby landscaper reported that the home was on fire.
When police arrived at the scene, they found 50-year-old Keith Caneiro shot to death outside of the home and his wife and children stabbed to death inside of the home.
Police say that because of the fires, the bodies of the victims were badly burned and that it took investigators “days” to assess the damage.
Paul Caneiro was previously arrested and charged after he set fire to his own home in Ocean Township with his wife and two daughters still inside.
