Look, we’re sure you’re all sick of the Kardashians. And trust us, we are too. But when the proverbial Head of the Snake admits that not only is their entire empire fueled by a sex tape — but a drug-fueled sex tape — it’s worth writing about.
On the Sunday, November 25 episode of the long-running reality series Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim — who is now a 38-year-old (!!) mother-of-three (!!) –admitted to being high on ecstasy when she both married music producer Damon Thomas and while she made her legendary sex tape with Ray J (who hit it first).
“I got married on ecstasy—the first time. I did ecstasy once, I got married. I did it again, I made a sex tape,” Kim tells half-sister Kendall Jenner and Scott Disick, who is her older sister Kourtney’s ex-husband.
“You were high on ecstasy when you had that sex tape?” Disick replies, sounding shocked.
“Absolutely. Everyone knows it. Like, my jaw was shaking the whole time,” Kim says back.
As much as it pains us to say it, this admission from Kim is rather … ugh … interesting (using ‘interesting’ and ‘Kardashian’ in the same sentence just cost me about 30,000 brain cells).
First of all, there was *NO* reason to (other than to go viral, of course). As far as we know, no one ever publicly accused her of being on drugs during the tape, the tape is almost 15 years old, and she now has three (!!) kids walking the Earth.
Like … it’s not enough that Saint, North, and Chicago have to grow up knowing that there is a sex tape of their mother out there, but now they’re burdened with the knowledge that she was on some pretty serious drugs at the time, too.
Is this a calculated move by the Kardashians to drop *this* admission at *this* time? Probably, considering that most of what they do is calculated (as they say, the devil works hard, but Kris Jenner works harder). But still, it’s a shocking admission from a 38-year-old mother of three on national television. Needless to say, it was a bold move, Cotton.
