Memphis Eve Sunny Day Hewson — known professionally as just Eve Hewson — is an Irish actress that is best known for her roles in the television show The Knick and the film Robin Hood. Hewson is also notably the daughter of U2 lead singer Bono, born Paul David Hewson.
Hewson, who was born in Dublin, Ireland, on July 7, 1991, made her breakthrough in the drama film This Must Be the Place.
On the Cinemax series The Knick — which was directed by Steven Soderbergh — Hewson played Nurse Lucy Elkins, a West Virginia native that was a nurse at the Knickerbocker Hospital.
In 2018, Hewson appeared alongside Taron Edgerton, Jamie Foxx, and Ben Mendelsohn in the Otto Bathurst-directed film Robin Hood. Hewson portrayed Maid Marian, Robin Good’s love interest.
In addition to This Must Be The Place, The Knick, and Robin Hood, Hewson has appeared in the films Lost and Found, Jorma’s Blind Date, The 27 Club, Blood Ties, Enough Said, Bridge of Spies, Papillon, and Paper Year.
In 2019, Hewson is set to appear as Rose in the film The True Adventures of Wolfboy.
Hewson, who lives in Brooklyn, New York, received a degree from New York University in May 2013.
