Jennie Kim, known simply by the name Jennie, was born in Anyang, South Korea in 1996 before growing up in Auckland, New Zealand. The 22-year-old K-Pop sensation is a member of YG Entertainment and the girl group BLACKPINK. Known as the main rapper in the group and the “leader,” she has since gone out and launched her own single titled “Solo.”
The single was an instant hit. “Solo” features Jennie singing, rapping, and showing off her dance moves. With the success of her solo venture, Jennie is now the first ever Korean female soloist to enter the iTunes Top 10 in the United States.
