Njomza Vitia, known professionally as just Njomza, is an American singer from Chicago, Illinois who is known for being signed to Mac Miller’s record label Most Dope.
Njomza, who began performing in talent shows when she was just five-years-old, formed a band called “Scarlett” when she was 14-years-old and remained in the band until she was 16, which is when she embarked on a solo music career.
She was discovered by late Pittsburgh rapper & producer Mac Miller after she posted various cover songs and original songs on her YouTube channel. After being discovered by Mac Miller, she was signed to his record label Most Dope and released her first mixtape, Gold Lion, in April 2013.
Njomza’s, whose parents are natives of Kosovo, was born in Germany and is fluent in Albanian and English.
On October 31, 2018, Njomza performed at the Mac Miller: A Celebration Of Life benefit show to honor her friend Malcolm McCormick, who tragically died of a presumed overdose on Friday, September 7.
