Freddie Highmore, an insanely talented actor with extremely well-known shows and movies like Bates Motel and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is continuing to amaze audiences all around the world with his performance. But just exactly how much cash has the Good Doctor lead accumulated so far?

Net Worth of Freddie Highmore: $145 Million Dollars

Let’s see how he got it all.

Early Life: 1992-2013

Freddie Highmore, born on February 14, 1992, in London, England, first got the acting bug at the early age of seven years old. His father Edward Highmore, also was an actor. Edward starred in British television favorites like Doctor Who and an English soap Howard’s Way.

Freddie started working in television before he made a name for himself on the big screen. He starred in shows like Women Talking Dirty in 1999. He played a young King Arthur on TNT’s The Mists of Avalon in 2001. Then he began his film career in movies like Two Brothers in 2004, Five Children and It. Freddie’s biggest movie which skyrocketed him into success was Finding Neverland in 2004 as well. This later helped his land the iconic role of Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, starring alongside Johnny Depp.

Although Freddie had an acting and theatrical performance upbringing, he attended a normal school. When he was in LA auditioning for roles he would put his acting hat on. But when he returned home to London it was homework and chores as usual. Highmore continued schooling through college, managing to complete his university degree at England’s Cambridge University majoring in both Arabic and Spanish. He graduated right as he was about to shoot the first season of “Bate’s Motel” in 2013.

From Bates Motel to Prime Time: 2013-Present

Highmore landed the role of the iconic Alfred Hitchcock Pyscho horror movie character Norman Bates in 2013. He played Norman’s younger self in the prequel series which lead up to the events that took place in the classic movie. When Bates Motel ended in 2017, Highmore immediately lept from one character to another, as he began preparing for what would be the hit ABC show The Good Doctor.

The Good Doctor premiered in September 2017 and quickly created an extremely large fan following. Freddie played the role of Dr. Shaun Murphy a genius doctor with autism. Highmore said while preparing for this role really wanted to get to know the character on an emotional level. So he went to work with high functioning Autistic people of the same age as the character he was playing. He wanted to be able to develop an emotional understanding of their everyday struggles and truly bring to life his character in the most realistic and compassionate way possible.

Freddie did just that receiving countless praise for how in-depth he played the character of Dr. Shaun Murphy. Highmore truly performs with an outstanding understanding of each character he plays. He is able to put his heart and soul into every part he does. Which allows the audience to grasp the emotion that went into playing the character.

Freddie Highmore prides himself in taking his acting very seriously, although it is his passion. He knows it’s his responsibility to play a character true to the way it was written and true to himself! I can’t wait to see which role Freddie takes on next!
