The Boston Red Sox will be celebrating their 2018 World Series championship with the people of Boston on Wednesday, October 31.
Led by first-year manager Alex Cora, the Red Sox beat the NL Champion Los Angeles Dodgers 4 games to 1, otherwise known as a ‘gentleman’s sweep.’ Deserving of the title, the Red Sox’s were the MLB’s best team during the regular season, winning the NL East with a record of 108-54.
35-year-old journeyman outfielder and first baseman Steve Pearce was named the MVP, going 4-for-12 and driving in eight runs during the Fall Classic.
The Red Sox 2018 championship marks their fourth World Series title in the last 14 years and their third title in the last 10 years.
