According to online reports and estimates, Nurmagomedov is worth approximately $2 million. A majority of his wealth has come throughout his lengthy mixed martial arts career which led him to the top of the 155-pound division of the lightweight champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Nurmagomedov’s Early Years

Khabib Nurmagomedov was born on September 20, 1988 in Sildi, Dagestan ASSR, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. His father, Abdulmanap, was a decorated athlete and Army veteran who began training his sons at an early age at the family gym. Khabib Nurmagomedov is known for his strong grappling ability. But how did Nurmagomedov become such a dominant wrestler?

Well, it started with wrestling bears as a child. In an old video that has been online throughout his career, a young Khabib can be seen wrestling a bear as the much larger animal forces him to work on his strength to escape compromising positions.

The Dagestani champion became the first Russian and first Muslim to win a UFC championship thanks in large part to his training by his father, Abdulmanap.

Nurmagomedov’s highest-profile fight came on October 6, 2018, when he manhandled Conor McGregor en route to a fourth-round submission win to retain his title and advance his record to 27-0.
