Amber Alvarez is the current girlfriend of Dallas Mavericks center DeAndre Jordan, who played with the Los Angeles Clippers for his entire NBA career before moving down south to the Lone Star State.
Jordan — who was actually born and raised in Texas and went to Texas A&M — was previously dating Ashley Rose White, who he has a son with.
Alvarez, who is also from the Lone Star State, first began her modeling career when she signed with the Dallas-based Kim Dawson Model Agency. In 2011, Alvarez moved to Los Angeles, California and signed with L.A Models. Jordan and Alvarez reportedly started dating in 2013 before Alvarez announced she was pregnant in 2018.
Jordan attended Texas A&M University before he was drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers with the 35th overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft. He since blossomed into one of the best centers in the NBA, leading the league in rebounds twice and being named an All-Star in 2017.
Playing alongside Chris Paul and Blake Griffin for a majority of his career, the trio was nicknamed “Lob City” due to their high-flying style of basketball that saw Paul constantly throwing alley-ops — lobs — to Griffin and Jordan.
Given that the majority of his shots are dunks, Jordan currently holds the NBA record for best career field goal percentage at 67.4%.
