Rachel Hannah Weisz is a British actress who is best known for her starring roles in The Mummy, About A Boy, Constantine, The Constant Gardener, and My Cousin Rachel.
Weisz’s acting career began in the early-to-mid 1990’s when she appeared in television series such as Inspector Morse, Scarlet and Black, and Advocates II and films such as Death Machine and Chain Reaction.
While Weisz’s film career began with Death Machine, her major breakthrough into Hollywood came in the 1996 film Chain Reaction, when she starred alongside Keanu Reeves and Morgan Freeman.
In 1999, Weisz starred in The Mummy alongside Brendan Frasier, which made her an international star. She starred in the film’s sequel, The Mummy Returns, which was released in 2001.
In 2005, Weisz starred in Fernando Meirelles’s political drama film The Constant Gardener alongside Ralph Fiennes. For her performance in The Constant Gardener, Weisz won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Since then, Weisz has been one of the most prolific actresses in Hollywood, appearing in both blockbusters such as Oz the Great and Powerful and The Bourne Legacy and prestige dramas such as The Lobster, The Favourite, Denial, The Light Between Oceans, Youth, The Mercy, and many more.
