Deborah Ann Woll is an American actress who is best known for her starring roles as Jessica Hamby on the HBO fantasy drama series True Blood from 2008 to 2014 and Karen Page in the Netflix-Marvel series Daredevil, The Defenders, and The Punisher.
Woll, who was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 7, 1985, made her acting debut in 2007. Prior to becoming an actress, Woll graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Southern California’s School of Dramatic Arts. Additionally, Woll trained at London’s famed Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Woll’s first acting appearance came in the 2007 television series Life. Her breakthrough role came just a year later in 2008 when she was cast as Jessica Hamby in the HBO fantasy drama series True Blood, which aired until 2014.
However, despite her success on True Blood, Woll may be most recognized for her role as Karen Page in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having appeared in the Netflix series Daredevil, The Defenders, and The Punisher.
In addition to her roles on True Blood, Daredevil, The Punisher, and The Defenders, Woll has appeared in television series such as ER, CSI, My Name Is Earl, The Mentalist, Law & Order, Special Victims Unit, and Axe Cop. She has also starred in several films, including Mother’s Day, Little Murder, Catch .44, Ruby Spark, Meet Me In Montenegro, The Automatic Hate, Forever, and Silver Lake.
In 2019, Woll is set to appear in the film Escape Room.
