Kate Siegel is an American actress and screenwriter who is best known for her creative collaborations with her husband Mike Flanagan, a horror film director. Siegel has appeared in numerous horror films and television series, such as Oculus, Hush, Ouija: Origin of Evil, Gerald’s Game, and The Haunting of Hill House.
The Haunting of Hill House, which premiered on Netflix in October 2018 and is based on Shirley Jackson’s novel of the same name, was created, directed, produced and written by her husband Mike Flanagan.
Siegel’s acting debut came in the 2007 horror film The Curse of The Black Dahila. Since then, her film credits include Steam, Knocked Down, Puke in My Mouth, Wedding Day, The Collector, Man Camp, Oculus, Demon Legacy, Dead Room: Origins, The Program, Wine Jabs, Hot,
Oculus, Hush, Ouija: Origin of Evile and Gerald’s Game.
Siegel has also appeared in numerous television series such as Ghost Whisperer, Numbers, The Unknown, Castle, Where Would We Be, Mob City, and 2018’s horror hit The Haunting of Hill House.
Siegel and Flanagan got married in 2016 and share one son together, Cody Paul Flanagan, who was born on November 26, 2016.
