UFC 229 ended in absolute chaos after Khabib Nurmagomedov submitted Conor McGregor to retain his lightweight championship. After choking out McGregor, Khabib jumped out of the cage and attacked McGregor teammate Dillon Danis.

Memers of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s team, meanwhile, lept into the cage and jumped McGregor.

The wild scene took a long time to contain.

It was a scene reminiscent of an in-cage brawl at Strikeforce: Nashville in April 2010 which involved the Diaz brothers. You can check out the video of the mayhem below.

Because of his actions, Nurmagomedov is expected to face a hefty fine and could find himself with a suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for sparking the brawl and putting a number of people in the audience in danger. UFC president Dana White has yet to comment on the incident.
