Sarayu Blue — born Sarayu Rao on March 7, 1975 — is an American actress who is best known for her role as Angela on Sons of Tucson and Emet Kamala-Sweetzer in the NBC sitcom I Feel Bad.
In addition to those prominent roles, Blue has made guest actress appearances on numerous television shows, such as Bones, The Big Bang Theory, Hawthorne, NCIS: Los Angeles, and Two and a Half Men.
Prior to becoming an actress, Blue was born in Madison, Wisconsin, and attended West High School in Madison. Following high school, Blue received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco in 2005. She would go on to marry Johnathan Blue, a cameraman.
Blue’s breakout lead came in the NBC comedy sitcom I Feel Bad, as she starred in the lead role of Emet.
I Feel Bad, which is based on the book I Feel Bad: All Day. Every Day. About Everything, tell’s the story of Blue’s Emet: a wife, mother, and career woman who “feels bad when she deviates from her own standards of perfection while trying to ‘have it all’.”
