Ameera Al-Taweel, born November 6, 1983, is a Saudi Arabian princess and philanthropist who is the Vice Chairperson of Al-Waleed bin Talal Foundation and is a member of the board of trustees at Silatech.
Al-Taweel attended the University of New Haven in Connecticut and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Business Administration.
In September 2018, Al-Taweel married 39-year-old billionaire businessman Khalifa bin Butti al-Muhairi. Her 2018 marriage is Al-Taweel’s second, as she was previously married to Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal. Al-Taweel met Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal when she 18-years-old as she was conducting an interview for her school newspaper.
Her marriage to Khalifa bin Butti al-Muhairi was held at the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte in France and was attended by Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King. Khalifa bin Butti al-Muhairi, who founded the investment group KBBO, has a reported estimated net worth of nearly $2 billion.
During her career, in an effort to improve women’s rights in the Middle east, Al-Taweel has worked with the Clintons, Queen Rania of Jordan and the members of the British monarchy.
