Hingham High School in Hingham, Massachusetts is currently on lockdown after a reported threat ‘by phone’.
Police are on the scene investigating and all students are currently safe. No injuries have been reported.
The Hingham police department released the following statement about the lockdown:
High is in lockdown mode after a reported threat by phone. Several police units are present at school and all students are SAFE now. Currently still being investigated.
At this time, police have not released any information on who placed the call or when it was placed. The suspect who made the threat has not been identified.
Hingham High School, a public high school that serves grades 9 through 12, is located on Union Street near Hingham Center. and was ranked the 69th Best High School in America by Newsweek in 2012.
The lockdown at Hingham High School in Hingham, Massachusetts is just the latest in a string of lockdowns, bomb threats, and shootings that have plagued the United States.
Over the course of the past few years, shootings and lockdowns such as these have been a scourge upon the country and people have struggled with coming up with a solution.
