Redmond O’Neal, the son of the late Farrah Fawcett and actor Ryan O’Neal, has been in jail since last month due to an alleged armed robbery. However, his legal issues just increased tenfold after he was hit with a number of new charges including attempted murder for what the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office is calling a “violent crime spree”, according to the Los Angeles Times.
O’Neal is accused of randomly attacking multiple men during a series of confrontations in early May. Two of the men were seriously injured, including one who had stab wounds to his face.
The 33-year-old now faces new charges of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of brandishing a knife and one count of battery

What Happened?
O’Neal was arrested last month for an alleged armed robbery. He allegedly robbed a 7-Eleven store in Venice, Calif. After he was arrested, an investigation into a series of violent acts around the area led to O’Neal becoming a suspect due to his matching of the description — red hair with facial tattoos.
In the first incident on May 2, a suspect matching O’Neal’s description attempted to attack a man with a broken bottle after first punching him. On May 3, the suspect once again became angry with a man and punched him before tossing him on the floor.
From there, the attacks became increasingly violent.
On May 4, a male victim was stabbed by a suspect and was treated for a serious stab wound on his body. Later that day, another victim was found with serious stab wounds to his face, neck and upper body. The victim was discovered in a pool of his own blood.
Finally, on May 5, a suspect who matched O’Neal’s description became angry inside a coffee shop and pulled out a knife before jumping towards an employee and threatening him. The suspect fled the scene.
Who Is Redmond O’Neal?
O’Neal is the son of the late Farrah Fawcett, who was an iconic actress, model, and artist, and actor Ryan O’Neal. Redmond has battled substance abuse over the years and has a history of trouble with the law. O’Neal was slapped with a DUI and weapons charge in 2008. before being arrested in 2011 for possession of heroin and possession of a gun by a felon. In 2015, he was charged for violating parole and was sentenced to three years in prison, though he was released early.
Fawcett passed away in June 2009 at age 62 due to anal cancer.
